Consorzio Italia di Vini & Sapori

THE ITALIA DI VINI & SAPORI CONSORTIUM PROMOTES A SINGLE-END MASTERCLASS

10 December 2017

The "Italia di Vini & sapori" Consortium will present for the first time in Singapore a unique master class on Veneto wines. The masterclass, which will take place on December 11th, will be presented by Jessica Tan, wine journalist and Italian ambassador.

In this training Masterclass, the 30 wine professionals, educators, food and wine journalists who will participate, will be impressed by the exceptional taste and aromas of Veneto wines. The presentation will include the DOC, IGP, the history of the vineyard and the autochthonous varieties, highlighting the uniqueness of the Veneto wines. In fact, the Consortium continues its effort to present Italy as a food and wine destination, opening up new markets like Singapore.

Jessica's choice as ambassador and presenter is due to her competence and deep knowledge of Italian wines. Jessica has been involved in the wine industry for the past 10 years. After being part of the first The Local Nose wine marketing start-up, he started writing and tasting wines. He continued to improve acquiring a Certified Specialist of Wine certification and then flew to Napa where he received the certification of Napa Valley Wine Specialist. In 2017 she became Ambassador of Italian wine Singapore for Vinitaly.

The Consortium has chosen Singapore because it is an increasingly important Asian market where there is still a lot to do to introduce people into Italian wines. The biggest challenge is that people are not familiar with the names and geography of Italy. The market is not saturated and therefore there are many opportunities to combine fine Venetian wines with the taste of Singaporean consumers.
