Lessini Durello DOC is a fresh sparkling wine, enjoyable and full of character: with an aroma reminiscent of rennet apples and yellow citrus fruits, good minerality.

    LUGANA D.O.C.

Lugana DOC is produced in only 5 municipalities in the morainic amphitheatre on the border between the provinces of Brescia and Verona, in the extreme south of Lake Garda.

The grape from which it derives is the Turbiana, a native vine, which combined with the clayey soil of the area gives life to a savory white wine, unique, with a strongly mineral hint. There are five different types: the basic Lugana, the Superiore, the Riserva, the Late Harvest and the Spumante.

The longevity of the "dry" and "still" versions varies from type to type, but also from style to style: today the production is increasingly oriented towards vinification in steel and "sur lie", as well as towards mixed refinements (part in steel and part in wood) for the most important selections such as the Lugana Superiore and the Lugana Riserva, with the awareness that this wine can be even more long-lived than in the past.

The "basic" version can thus remain in the cellar for up to five years; while the Superior and Reserve versions have an evolutionary potential that can easily unfold over a decade.

The production of red and white wines is abundant and varied. Among the vines deserves to be mentioned the Recantina, a native variety at risk of extinction, a vine cultivated for almost four centuries in the Treviso area, which practically disappeared at the beginning of the twentieth century and today has recovered thanks to long research work.
